Amman Valley's Hannah Jones will lead Wales in a crunch clash against France on Sunday.
The Brynaman centre has recently signed a new deal with club Gloucester-Hartpury.
Wales' team will see multiple changes in its lineup, whilst the bench will host some familiar faces.
Among the players due to start are Alisha Butchers, who played for Penybanc RFC and Carys Phillips, a former Llandovery College pupil.
Butchers has been chosen to form a time-tested back row with vice-captain Alex Callender, while Phillips retains her place in the front row.
Joining Jones in the midfield will be Carys Cox.
Pontarddulais native Keira Bevan will be a key figure ready to enter the stage from the bench.
The match will witness the debut of Catherine Richards, who will take her place on the wing as the fifth new cap of the Welsh team this season.
As another addition, fly-half Mollie Wilkinson will also likely make her debut from the bench.
Head coach Ioan Cunningham - a former Ysgol Dyffryn Aman pupil - expressed his realistic yet optimistic take on the upcoming game against one of the world's best teams who he mentioned as favourites for the Test match.
He said: "We have all taken a long, hard look at ourselves this week and have stripped our game back and focused on what we have to do.
"We have drawn a line in the sand, and we need a performance at Cardiff Arms Park."
Relishing the home advantage, Cunningham further said: "Playing in front of our own supporters provides us with an opportunity to show who we are, and we have nothing to lose."
