Cwmamman United FC Reserves clinched promotion with a 6-1 victory over Llandarcy.

The stunning triumph on a sun-bathed Grenig Park on Saturday ensured they moved up to Neath League Division 2.

Furthermore, it capped off a prolific season which included winning the League Cup weeks earlier at Briton Ferry's Old Road Ground.

Notably, this victory took the team's goal tally past the 100 mark, with two games still to spare. Lead scorer, Brieg Matthews, upped his league tally to 34. His hat-trick in Saturday’s game also brought his overall seasonal goal count to 50. Currently, Matthews leads the competition for the league's prestigious Golden Boot.

The commanding performance against a gritty Llandarcy was a collective effort. Though there seemed to be glimmers of a comeback, goals from Iwan Preston, Dylan May, and Harrison Thomas along with Matthews' trio sealed the deal.

Manager, Marc Chandler, was delighted with the team's growth throughout the season - his first in charge. The combination of seasoned players and promising new talent has done wonders. As they gear up for the upcoming season in their new division, they hope to maintain their current momentum.
