Llandeilo lost out to Drefach in the final of the Carmarthenshire Midweek 100 Cricket League.
The league finale was on August 31 at the Cae Gwyn, Gwendraeth Valley.
The finals involved four teams, having been delayed a week earlier due to heavy rain.
The hosts, Drefach, secured a place in the final after a victorious semi-final encounter with Penygroes.
In the other semi-final action, Llandeilo broke Kidwelly's resolve, posting an impressive 106 runs from their 100 deliveries.
As it neared the final, the weather threatened to play spoil-sport again.
Against this backdrop, Llandeilo, who won the toss, elected to field first.
Despite stunning catches, Drefach posted a commendable 103 runs in their innings.
Next, it was Llandeilo’s turn to bat.
However, their strong opening batting performances couldn’t withstand Drefach’s excellent bowling and two outstanding outfield catches.
As the daylight receded, Drefach quickly bagged tail end wickets, wrapping up the game in 91 balls.
Llandeilo mustered a disappointing 64 runs.
Featuring players of all ages, both sides presented a rich mix, making the event a perfect showcase of league cricket.
