Llandovery RFC fullback Jack Maynard secured the win for the Drovers in their opening Super Rygbi Cymru game.
The match - against Pontypool RFC - saw Llandovery, who were champions in last season's WRU Premiership before the introduction of the new Super Rygbi Cymru format, pick up where they left off.
Maynard's three penalty kicks in the second half secured a 21-18 victory against Pooler. Drovers also saw first half tries from Llan Phillips and Taylor Davies, with Maynard securing one conversion. Pooler's scores came from Matthew Powell's two tries and Kieran Meek's boot, with a conversion, drop goal and penalty.
