Amman United moved onto the second round of the Division 3 Cup after a last-gasp penalty.
The thrilling game, held at sunny Cwmamman Park, saw Lee Evans, the Amman scrum-half, nab victory from Bryncoch with the final kick.
The match was a back and forth spectacle with an uncertain outcome until the very end.
Amman United made an encouraging start, despite losing prop Mike Anthony within the opening minutes.
Dylan James managed to cross for a rare opening try and secured an early 10-0 lead.
The visitors, not to be outdone, rebutted this with a converted try of their own.
However, a subsequent try from replacement Tristan Morgan tipped the scales in favour of the Reds.
The seesaw match saw another shift as Bryncoch equalised, bringing the score to 15-15.
As the game continued, home team players Rhydian Jones, Alun Lewis, and Luke Rees proved to be notable performers.
On entering the final minutes, with the visitors leading 25-23, Lee Evans emerged as the hero.
His short range penalty kick secured a narrow 26-25 victory for Amman United.
With this successful round behind them, Amman will refocus on the league, facing Llangadog in Division 3 West next Saturday.
