Llangadog emerged victorious in their derby cup match against Llandeilo.
The October 5 encounter saw the two rivals face off in the WRU Admiral National Cup Division 3 clash at Heol Pendref on Saturday afternoon.
Llandeilo travelled the short journey along the A40 for this highly anticipated match.
Llangadog set the tone early, opening the score sheet with a penalty from Ceri Williams and an early try courtesy of prop forward Telor Dyer.
Llandeilo's center, Steffan Roberts, responded with a try but had to leave the field early due to injury.
The first half ended 17-11 in favour of Llangadog, with Charles Handford scoring the second try.
The start of the second half experienced a delay due to match balls being lost in nearby gardens.
Llandeilo maintained an early momentum after play recommenced, scoring a try and coming within a point of their rivals.
However, Llangadog, energised by the home crowd, regained control.
A try from Rhys Thomas and a strong penalty from Ceri Williams fortified their standing, leading to a final score of Llangadog 27, Llandeilo 16.
Llangadog will continue league action next weekend, hosting Amman United, while Llandeilo welcomes Ceredigion side Aberaeron to Cae William.
