Llandybie Rugby Club celebrated a 31-3 victory against Pantyfynnon RFC in a derby match.
The Division 4B match, held at Llandybie, saw the hosts take an early lead with a try from Rhys Jones and a conversion by Chris Powell within the first three minutes.
Despite Pantyfynnon turning down a penalty to opt for a scrum, Llandybie's defence, with Keri Davies and Steff Jones in the centre, held firm.
Llandybie continued to keep the pressure on, with Christian Davies and Lloyd Thompson holding their own against more experienced opponents.
Chris Powell scored a try at the 20-minute mark but it was not converted. Shortly after, Ioan Rees saw yellow after slowing down play with his hands in the ruck.
The half-time score was 12-0 to Llandybie.
Pantyfynnon managed to score a penalty early in the second half.
However, Llandybie quickly responded with another try by Tom Howell, converted by Powell, after a fumbled pass by Pantyfynnon.
Despite Pantyfynnon's continued attempts to attack, Llandybie remained dominant.
A try from Iestyn Richards, following a well-executed move from a line-out, secured Llandybie's bonus point.
In the final moments of the game, Owain Williams scored from a scrum, with the conversion by Richards, sealing Llandybie's victory at 31-3.
Keri Davies was named Man of the Match for Llandybie, praised for his solid defence and forward play.
The victory marks Llandybie's successful start to the season, with fans now eagerly anticipating the upcoming rematch against Pantyfynnon in the Division 4 Cup.
