Cwmgors RFC narrowly lost to Rhigos after a late try, despite a strong performance.
The team, known as the Cherries, led 18-17 following a converted try by Jordan Davies with 15 minutes left, but Rhigos secured a late victory.
The match started with Cwmgors conceding an early try, before captain Jordan Smith reduced the deficit with a penalty.
Rhigos then extended their lead to 12-3 with a second try, this time converted.
Cwmgors rallied with Smith chipping and chasing, setting up centre Owen Davies for a try, which Smith converted before adding another penalty, giving Cwmgors a 13-12 lead at half-time.
The second half saw Smith miss two penalty chances, but the team continued to pressurise Rhigos.
Jordan Davies eventually broke through the defence, scoring a try to give Cwmgors an 18-17 lead.
However, with five minutes remaining, Rhigos scored a late try to clinch the victory, leaving Cwmgors with only a losing bonus point.
Despite the loss, the team's performance was praised as a positive sign for the rest of the season.
Second-row player Steffan Charles was named Cwmgors' man of the match.
Cwmgors will next play against Briton Ferry at Parc y Werin on November 30.
