Bryn Rovers 3rds 11 Pontarddulais Town 0 Neath & District Reserve Division 3 Bryn got back to winning ways with an emphatic 11 – 0 victory.

A somewhat frantic first ten minutes saw Bryn take the lead via an angled drive from Mike Young.

Mike then won a header to enable Christian Jones tap in from eight yards.

A quickly taken free kick saw Young get another assist with a cross into the box for striker Steffan Conibeer to score with a well placed header.

The woodwork denied Bryn three times during the first half before Jones scored his second after fine link up play with Conibeer, to take them into the break four nil up.

Not resting on their laurels Bryn came flying out of the blocks and Jones duly hit the target again to get his first hat-trick for the club. A fine passing move opened up Bont and full back Danny Jones scored the goal of the game with a 25 yard effort into the bottom corner.

On fire strikers Conibeer and Jones got another goal a piece, before rampaging midfielder Mike Richards’ deflected effort made it nine.

Tricky winger then Danny Williams cut inside to finish well. Young beat three players before being brought down in the box, up stepped Bryn Keeper Sheridan Gregory to make it 11 with the last kick of the game. This enabled him to join a select group of three players who have kept a clean sheet and scored in the same game for Bryn thirds.

This is a record score for Bryn thirds with a great team performance, the back four were solid throughout, with the midfield creating chance after chance, but special mention must go to the front two of Christian & Steffan who tormented the opposition from first whistle to last.
