Llandybie 45 Glais 10 Swalec League Division 5 West Llandybie started with a bang with backs and forwards rampaging down to the Glais line,and the visitors conceded a penalty with Robert Goodfellow stepping up to make it 3-0.
Llandybie scored again within a short space of time with wing Jack Thomas racing in after a good counter attack from Llandybie. It was converted by Robert Goodfellow.
Glais outside half Daniel Evans ran from the halfway line breaking through some very weak tackles to score under the posts. It was converted by Mike Ketley. All this action happened within the first five minutes of the game.
Llandybie pushed further ahead with a well struck penalty from Robert Goodfellow.
Llandybie’s second try came from some quick thinking from number eight John Phelan who used the advantage law to put flanker Richard Davies clear to score out wide.
Mike Kettley slotted a penalty for the visitors.
With 30 mins on the watch captain and full back Wayne Williams put his name on the score sheet, with a well taken try.
This was again converted by Robert Goodfellow.
At half time the score stood at 28-10 to Llandybie. The second half started with Robert Goodfellow slotting two 50-metre penalties.
Llandybie’s other winger Dan Davies then got in on the action racing 40m to score in the corner. It again was converted by Robert Goodfellow.
The last play of the game saw Thomas score his second try and Llandbie’s fifth.
Robert Goodfellow converted to take his personal points haul to 20.
Next week Llandybie travel to Tumble for what looks like a very exciting cup tie.
