SELLING counterfeit polo shirts has cost an Ammanford man more than £1,000 after he was caught out by Carmarthenshire Trading Standards officers.
Duncan James Andrews pleaded guilty at Ammanford Magistrates Court to an offence under section 92 of the Trade Marks Act.
The court was told that Andrews was discovered selling counterfeit Lacoste shirts by trading standards officers who were monitoring sales on eBay.
Andrews, of Penybanc Road, Ammanford, was fined £335, and ordered to pay £700 prosecution costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
