Panty avenged a league loss to reach the third round of the cup with a determined team effort.
Panty controlled the opening quarter with the forwards playing keep ball rugby into the strong wind.
The set plays were going well with Matthew James setting his back’s going with first class service.
The first try fell to Lee Rees who galloped to the line from 50 metres to score a find individual try.
With late withdrawals in the second row in stepped the block busting Jim Baker who caused havoc with the Ponty defence all afternoon.
Craig Daniel was the next try scorer after a similar long run to the line to leave Panty in a handy situation going into the second half.
The half started again with the forwards on top in scrum and line with Justin Fishwick typifying the effort with some bone crunching hits.
Nick James had an off day with the boot to let Ponty off the hook several times and this encouraged Ponty back into the game, but the result was never in doubt after Chris Davies scored late on to calm the nerves of the travelling supporters.
Panty man of the match Stu Sutherland.
