Local politicians representing the Dryslwyn area have expressed their anger following the announcement that the village post office is due to close.
The site, which has been awaiting the final decision for several weeks, has finally been given the confirmation that it is due to close under the Labour Government’s closure programme. MP Adam Price said: "I am devastated for the Dryslwyn community. The way the local community and individuals have rallied to this cause is highly commendable.
"The only shame is that Post Office Ltd has turned a blind eye to that opposition."
AM Rhodri Glyn Thomas described the news as "extremely disappointing".
