Division Six West Pantyffynnon 5 Tregaron 32 AFTER the euphoria of last week’s victory, Panty were brought back down to earth with sobering effect by Tregaron.
In what was always likely to be a bruising encounter, Panty’s cause was not helped with the withdrawal of several players prior to kick-off.
The first half was all about the away pack, who strangled the life out of the homesters with an excellent display of keep-ball rugby.
Finding themselves 17-0 down at the interval, Panty started the second half at a good tempo as the lighter home side began to find holes in the tiring Tregaron defence. But unfortunate errors from Panty gifted the away side two further scores to seal a bonus-point win.
However, instead of folding, Panty bossed the remaining 20 minutes and their character was rewarded when Stu Sutherland crossed for a deserved score. Next week, Panty play host to Blaenau.
